Meet JoanMeet Joan

Joan Kelsey, MSSW, MCRP

Joan has partnered with individuals to help them achieve their dreams in many areas such as balancing their career and family life, making career changes, returning to school, discovering their life passion. She particularly enjoys working with those who are at midlife and reevaluating what they want to achieve in the second half of their life.

After eighteen years as a business owner, Joan returned to college and received a Bachelor of Arts in Local and Urban Affairs and a Bachelor of Elective Studies from St. Cloud State University. She then went on to the University of Texas at Arlington graduate school and received a Master of Science in Social Work and a Master in City and Regional Planning. Joan enjoyed a thirteen year career with Housing Authorities in Texas, Indiana, Florida and Maine working in the area of Resident Services and as a Director of Public Housing. She then decided to return to school and completed the Professional Coaching certification through the University of Southern Maine.

Joan also is a member of the International Association of Coaches, the American Society for Training and Development, and Toastmaster International.

Having settled in Maine, she shares her home with 3 cats, a Terrier Cross, and an Otter Hound. She also has an off the track Thoroughbred and they are both in the process of learning hunt seat and jumping.
