Meet Your Instructors
TIFFANY 28 year old arab/welch pony. Tif was the
state champion pony many times with her young owner,
Forest. After being outgrown, she became a lesson
pony, teaching young riders the ropes and continuing
to be champion year after year. Now she is using
her knowledge and wisdom to teach 'big kids' about
themselves. Here at New Boston Farm (NBF) we regard Tif as our queen
and leader!
LILY Looking beautiful just standing there or jumping
around a course, this champion registered Welch pony
newly arrived from CT is a gem. Although quiet and
cooperative, Lily has a lot to say to those who speak
her language.
RED MAN Red has seen it all! After racing in
Florida, this thoroughbred gelding spiraled down in
a series of bad homes, topped off by a trailer
accident and broken bones. A kind hearted horsewoman
bought him, somehow seeing potential in this very
thin,
sick, lame horse. He was shipped to NBF in Maine
where
he began his recovery and training program. Looking
at
him now, sound, handsome, happy, jumping and winning at
shows,
it is hard to believe this is the same horse.
PERFECT LEIGH 8 year old welch/thoroughbred. Leigh
is what we call a fancy pony. With her big step and
animated demeanor she is very eye catching. She was
competed this year by a 9 year old girl, and was
forth place in the state of Maine in her division.
No problem interacting with Leigh, you will not be
ignored!
SUNDAY 6 year old quarterhorse/welch. Sunday had her
first show season this year, learned how to get onto
a trailer, how to behave at a show, jump the jumps and
wait around. Now she is ready to be promoted to EAL
horse!
PILGRIM Welch/Thoroughbred gelding. Steady and
reliable
Pilgrim was Maine State Champion in two divisions for
2007, one for each of his young owner/riders. This
handsome boy is one of our barn favorites and much
loved.
OUIJA Ouija was a western reining horse, later a jumper, and after coming to NBF, he competed as a hunter and equitation horse. Sensitive, intelligent, and friendly, his favorite activity is bowing for carrots.
NOELLE This beautiful black bay thoroughbred hails
from NY state where she was a big time show hunter in
her younger days. After working in a show barn in MA,
Noelle came to Maine to partner with a young
rider who has since outgrown her. Noelle now teaches
beginner to intermediate riders what it is all about.
She is 20 years old. Ask her anything....she knows
it all!
